Hazrat Sultan Sayed Badur Ali Shah sahib Kazmi Mashadi Allah
bless his soul was born in 1801. Their ancestral link goes
back to The Holy prophet (blessing and salutation be on
him) through Hazrat Sayed Abdul Latif shah (Allah bless
his soul) of Burry Imam near Islamabad and Hazrat Sayed
Imam Musa Kazim(Allah be pleased with him) of Mashad in
Iran. Hazrat Imam sahib was highly learned scholar and very
pious personality of his time Due to such ancestors Hazrat
Sultan Sayed Badur Ali Shah sahib was known as Kazmi Mashadi.
Their ancestors came to sub continent to propagate Islam.
They settled in various parts of the region and Shah sahibs
forefathers settled in a place called Hassuwali which was
on the out skirts of Shorkote. Shah sahib's father was a
religious person with high morals.
He carried out farming for his livelihood. He was influenced
by the teaching of Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Allah bless he soul)
and often visited his shrine. Hazrat Sultan Sayed Badur
Ali Shah sahib had inclination towards Islam from childhood
and when his father realised that, he decided to take him
to Maulana Sayed Obaid Ullah shah sahib a highly respected
scholar in Multan. At the age of seven years Shah sahib
accompanied by his father started their journey to Multan
but on the way they stayed seven nights at the shrine of
Sultan sahib. In those nights Shah sahib's father have been
praying for favours for Shah sahib After seven nights stay
they went to the Mudersa (institute of religious education)
of Maulana Sayed Abied Ullah shah sahib, they were greeted
there by Maulana sahib with traditional hospitality Maulana
sahib asked Shah sahib’s father regarding the purpose
of their visit and he was told of his desire to have young
Shah sahib completing his education in his Mudersa.
Maulana sahib agreed and Shah sahib was admitted in the
Mudersa. Next day Shah sahib was given first section of
the Holy Quraan to recite he recited it all, infect he recited
the whole of the Quraan. He was asked to read other books
of syllabus and Hadith the same response was there as well.
In fact Shah sahib passed the entire course within seventeen
day. This normally took approximately nine years. Maulana
sahib wrote to their father, that your son has completed
his education and you can come and collect him. When their
father read the letter he was shocked and thought that perhaps
his son was dull or probably he wasn't up to the Hazrat
Maulana sahibs standard. However he went over to Multan
to collect him, with all the negative thoughts passing through
his mind.
At the Mudersa when the father was told the facts he was
astonished. Maulana sahib called upon Shah sahib and asked
him to read the books in front of his father and he did
so without any hesitation. Maulana Sahib asked Shah sahib
where did he receive this education? He replied that on
the way here we spent seven nights at the Durbar of Hazrat
Sultan Sahib and during that time Sultan sahib favoured
me with ilm-e-ladunni (inspired knowledge). Hazrat Maulana
sahib told their father to take him back where he had received
such a treasure.
However father brought him back to the Durbar of Sultan
sahib and at night he had a vision in which he was told
by Sultan sahib to leave Shah sahib at Durbar sharif and
that Sultan sahib will be his guardian. Shah sahib stayed
at the Durbar of Sultan sahib for forty years. During that
long period every night Sultan sahib met Shah sahib and
he was favoured with religious and spiritual teachings Shah
sahib in his Punjabi poetry said: “I found the dust
of Sheiks feet as collyrium and touched the particular holy
mizar.Sultan Badur shah ever since the inner vision got
sharper so I visualised Allah Almighty”.
Flacon of the Arifs Hazrat Sultan sayed Mohammed Badhur
Ali Shah sahib (R.A) was such a learned personality whose
complete elegance is felt by apparent experience of the
tranquillity of heart, wakening of the soul and illumines
of Allah Almighty when visiting his Shrine. They received
Faqr spiritually directly from Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Allah bless his soul) as mentioned above regarding Ilm e Laduni after receiving
it shah sahib says in his poetry “I have all that
I have learned and I am just singing the name of Allah with
each breath and with each hair on my body” After acquisition
of Ilm e Laduni there isn’t any other need left.
Hadith sharif is quated “Knowledge is in the chests
and not in the lines”.
Shah sahibs duty at Durbar sharif for twelve years was
to fill up the water for ablution for visitors. They were
born in 1801 and 1809 was brought to the Durbar sharif and
add up the twelve years of the duty at the Durbar sharif
it will be 1821 and that was the time of second Sikhs invasion
and when the shrine of Sultan sahib was abandoned this was
1829.Costodian of the shrine at that time were Sultan Hafiz
Mohammed ra and Hazrat Sultan Badhur Ali shah sahib came
to the durbar sharif long time before that. That was the
time when Costodian of the durbar sharif Were Hazrat Sultan
Mohammed Hussain ra son of Hazrat Sultan Wali Mohammed ra
son of Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Allah bless his soul). Hazrat sultan Peer sahib
passed away in 1934 in the time of custodian Hazrat Ameer
Sultan ra. the time Peer sahib attachment remained with
Durbar sharif during 7 custodians of the durbar sharif.
Their contemporary were Sultan Mohammed Hussain (RA), Sultan
Hafiz Mohammed (RA), Sultan ghulam Bahu (R.A), Sultan slaih
Mohammed (RA), Sultan Noor mohammed (RA), Sultan Noor Ahmed
(R.A), and Ameer Sultan (RA).
Peer sahib were present when second time Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Allah bless his soul), shrine was transferred. Most of Hazrat Peer
sahib’s life was spent in love of Hazoor Sultan ul
arfeen ra and in 1918 Shah sahib was ordered by Sultan sahib
to take a visual bait (oath of allegiance) on the hand of
a Sarwari Qadri Sheik. When Shah sahib received the order
he requested Sultan sahib to be kind and tell him on whose
hand? He was given the name of Hazrat Peer Abdul Ghafoor
shah sahib ra who were one of the Khalifa of Hazrat Sultan
Sahib ra. Peer Abdul Ghafoor shah sahib was in Shorkote
in fact their actual residence was in Mudd sharif. At hearing
the name Shah sahib travelled towards Shorkot and met Peer
Mahammed Abdul Ghafoor Shah sahib (Allah bless his soul)
khalifa of Hazrat Sayed Abdullah shah sahib and requested
him for bait. Sayed Mahammed Abdul Ghafoor Shah sahib smiled
and said you are restricted to obey the order and same applies
to me. They took Shah sahib's bait and instructed him regarding
Ism e Allah Zat (divine name of Allah Almighty).
Peer Mahammed Abdul Ghafoor Shah sahib passed Shah sahib
to Sultan sahib, who favoured him specially and said:
"Sayed Badur Ali Shah the faqr I am awarding you is
the faqr that came from the chest of Rasool Allah (blessing
and salutation be upon him) to me and I am placing this
special trust (treasure of faqr, piety) through Sayed Mohammed
Abdul Ghafoor Shah and it will be your duty to transfer
and reinstate it within my descendents". When Shah
sahib received the special trust he requested that "sir
all of your descendents are honourable and respectable for
me but to whom I would have to transfer it to. Sultan sahib
replied! "There will be a prince among my children
named Sultan Mohammed Abdul Aziz, his sign will be that
he will have been circumcised by birth and detached umbilical
cord by birth, this trust will be reinstated with him so
that this treasure of faqr (piety) shall continues among
my children until the day of the judgment.
One day Hazrat Habib Sultan sahib son of the custodian
and later on became custodian himself were playing with
other children and they passed by Shah Sahib’s room
and said to Shah Sahib that do you know this child who is
with me? Peer sahib replied, that no I don’t know
him you could introduce, them Habib Sultan sahib said sir
he is Sultan Abdul Aziz because of whom you have been given
this trust of faqr. So than Peer sahib raised their eyes
and looked straight into the eyes of innocent young Sultan
Abdul Aziz and that eye to eye contact remained for some
time without any blink of the eye either side.
This conversation has been forwarded by Sultan alfaqr Hazrat
Sultan Mohammed Asgher Ali (Allah bless his soul) son of Hazrat Sultan
Mohammed Abdul Aziz (Allah bless his soul), they said that my father told me
this and said that the trust of Faqr was transferred to
me at that juncture through the eye contact. The remaining
rituals have been performed afterwards. Hazrat Sultan Abdul
Aziz sahib have been absorbed in the contemplation of Ism
a Allah Zat at such an young age and they were also very
close to their first cousin Hazrat Sultan Mohammed Nawaz
with whom they have travelled from Delhi to Kabul. When
they grew up from adolescence to adulthood and decided to
take bai-at and their heart could not settle anywhere so
Hazrat Sultan Mohammed Nawaz ra requested to Hazrat Sultan
sahib ra, as to order Sultan Abdul Aziz sahib to take bai-at.
One day Hazrat Sultan Abdul Aziz (Allah bless his soul) went to the mizar
of Hazrat Sultan Sahib and Hazrat Sutlan Sahib held on to
their arm and got them seated and asked peer sahib (they
were at the Durbar sharif at that time) to come over, I
am holding on to your friend come and take his bai-at and
present him with Khelafa. Peer sahib replied that sir I
will refresh my ablution, but hazrat Sultan sahib replied
that “Ablution is compulsory for unclean where as
illumine of Ism e Allah zat is shining from your outward
and inwards what else do you require. When I heard this
incident from Sixth Sultan Ul faqr and they mentioned this
hadith mubarak “My eyes asleep but my heart doesn’t
sleep”. There at the Mizar sharif Hazoor Peer sahib
took bai-at of Hazrat Sultan Abdul Aziz sahib and bestowed
them with Khelafa. After that Hazrat Sultan Abdul Aziz (Allah bless his soul) sahib
started to stay with Peer sahib most of the time.
Peer sahib spent most of their time at the Durbar sharif
and they utilised their time in contemplation of Ism e Allah
zat and rewriting the Sultan sahibs books manuscripts they
were about more then 35 copies. These written copies were
delicate and beautiful.
Peer sahib were simple in nature and they dressed up with
simplicity and one day they were sewing a patch on to their
own cloths in the foreground of the durbar sharif. The custodian
of the durbar sharif Hazrat Ameer Sultan came along and
held on to peer sahibs arm and took them to mizar sharif
and read Dawat (pleas read up about dawat of ale qaboor)
and requested to hazrat Sultan sahib that peer sahib is
at such high level of faqr and is Imam of the time please
ask them to wear new cloths, after that Hazrat Sultan sahib
said to peer sahib " you are an faqeer of Sarwari Qadri
order and that Sarwari Qadri faqeer has to dress up like
a royalty and have to be riding on a horse.
Moreover Hazrat Peer sahib wrote hundreds of Ism E zat
and then had them gold plated from a goldsmith in Multan.
Peer sahibs prepared Ism e Zat are still present today.
After the bait Shah sahib went home but they adopted a
routine of staying in Hasuwali during the day and spending
the night at the Shrine of Sultan sahib. There was spiritual
gathering with all of Sultan sahib Khalifas (deputies) and
important disciples present.
According to the set up of the gathering Shah sahib set
at the back where as other senior people set in front. On
one day Shah sahib was coming to Durbar sharif and on the
way it was windy storm with heavy flooding in the river
and no boatman would agree to take him across to the other
side. Shah sahib was someone with very strong determination
said to him self even if I die in this way it is acceptable.
He jumped into the flooded river and swam across to the
other side.
When they reached Durbar shrif Sultan sahib ordered his
first Khalifa Nurang Sultan sahib who set next to sultan
sahib,to let Shah sahib sit in his place because he has
reached here with great difficulties. From then on Shah
sahib set next to Sultan sahib in the spiritual gatherings.
After completing the path of Slook (mystic initiation)
Shah sahib performed Nikah as a Sunna of Rasool Allah (blessing
and salutation be on him) but because Shah sahib's daily
routine was contemplating Ism Allah zat during the day and
visiting the Durbar sharif at night. They never had anytime
for their marital life and therefore often pressurised by
the in-laws to fulfil the materialistic requirements but
Shah sahib remained silence and kept the same routine.
Eventually family pressured the wife and she demanded divorce.
Shah sahib with the permission of Sultan sahib divorced
their wife and freed him self completely from materialistic
world. Shah sahib had no children.
In order to spread the Marifat of Allah Almighty they adopted
to Punjabi poetry, which is an exemplary sample of Punjabi
poetry along side complete guide for the seekers of Allah
Almighty. They had praised their Sheikh frequently. In the
honour of Sheikh sayed Abdul Qader Jeelani blessing be upon
him and said “listen to my request in the name of
Allah oh beloved of Allah. Favour me all the time ya Mohiodeen
Jeelani. You are well known grant me the suspension of my
desire and open my inner visions. Show me the illuminated
example. Listen to my request in the name of Allah oh beloved
of Allah”.
Further on they had written in the honour of Sultan Sahib
(RA) “ Praise be for Allah Sultan sahibs Shrine is
pious place. Where Hoo Alla and ya hoo is recited all the
time. The residents consist of those who have intuitive
high form of mystical experience. You are the distributor
of bounty from day one. You bestow hundreds of thousands
munificent in particular the company of Rasool Allah blessing
and salutation be upon him. The praise of my sheiks mercy
is like ocean and his vision is a elixir. Listen to the
request of this innocent oh my complete Sheikh”.
If you observe that it seems as if a defendant is pleading
his case in the court. At another point they are pleading
in the court of Sultan Ul Arfeen against nafs.
If Dear sir hear about the tyrant evil nafs. He destroys
the inner wealth its pearl and jewels of breathing.
Help me with the cover of mercy. Provide me with refuge,
without you I am of no use. All the Arab and non Arab are
looking at your door. You are companion of this destitute
in all sad situations. Reinstate this person with blessing.
Listen to the pleading of this innocent oh complete sheikh.
Also presenting it with humility and helplessness and that
is viewed as a prime example. If one looks at the poetry
of any great spiritual personality you will find teaching
of humility.
Such as Hazrat Sultan sahib ra quoted in ain ul faqr regarding
the incident of Miraj Sharif “When Rasool Allah blessing
be upon him went on the journey of Miraj and Allah Almighty
asked that when a friend visits a friend he brings some
sort of gift, therefore what gift have you brought. They
replied that gift which your Almighty do not possess. Allah
Almighty replied that oh my beloved I am the creator of
everything what is that which is not here. Rasool Allah
blessing and salutation be upon him replied that in your
holiness there is greatness and supremacy and there isn’t
any helplessness and that is what I have brought as a present”.
Maulana Rome says “who ever brings helplessness in
your Almighty, he never returns back empty handed.
If you look at helplessness you will find that it has potential
of acquiring the grace because any example or argument which
is hollow from such, is known as arrogance and apparently
that is the attribute of Iblis and it would not be wrong
to say “Arrogance has ruined Shay tan. It had tied
him up in curse.
Peer sahib had given many lectures on helplessness and
they also given many solid examples about (vahadat al vajood)
unity of existence. They enclose this issue in one sentence
is a fine example of Punjabi literature and they said “The
attributes are now the veil of Allah Almighty. They will
get lost without Sheikh. Those who, have been guided by
their sheikh, they stayed away for the attributes of Allah.
Well done Peer Abdul Ghafoor Shah sahib who has clarified
this hint. There is no ego left in me”.
Allah Almighty’s attributes are all over and appear
in one form or another. That we regard them as(vahadat al
shahood) unity of divine manifestation of attributes. Due
to the fact that attributes are the veil for divine unity
and they would not allow divine unity to be unveiled. Whereas
the basic philosophy of vahdat ul vajood (unity of existence)
is that it take away all veils and immerse in his divine
unity, for example a person recites the zikar of merciful
because merciful is Allah Almighty’s attribute, therefore
the reciter will receive the manifestation attribute of
Merciful . Such as a person recites Razaq (providence) he
will receive manifestation of the attribute of Razaq. The
one who recites the attribute of Ghafoor (forgiving) he
will receive the relevant manifestation. They said that
Oh seeker, all of these various manifestations will embroil
you in them. Their stages and their bounty all but true,
but they will prevent you from moving forward towards Allah
Almighty’s Divine name “Hold on to Ism e Allah
zat recite it and contemplate it as you would receive the
manifestation of the attributes of Allah Almighty. By zikar
of Zat (divine) you will receive the manifestation of Divinity
but there is a condition. They say “If you have desire
of Allah Almighty then first of all find a complete Sheikh.
When you find sheikh you have found Allah Almighty this
example is unique. The attributes are literary now you view
the meaning of elegance. First of all you find a sheikh
because hadith of Rasool Allah blessing and salutation be
upon him narrates “He doesn’t have a religion
the one who don’t have a sheikh because the one who
don’t have a sheikh he gets in the grip of Shai tan”
Hazrat Peer sahib says “Those who forget their sheikh
shai tan destroys them. They will drown in storm and their
wicked nafs who has disgraced them”. In fact those
who abscond from the teaching of the sheikh they are severely
reprimanded in light of holy Quraan and Hadith.
“The one who strays from his sheik he shouldn’t
say ability but he should say inability. He looks like human
but he is real shai tan the one who wants you to mistrust
Allah Almighty. Look at the last chapter in the Quraan may
Allah provide us refuge from khanas (the shai tan that puts
suspicions inside people). Sultan Badhur shah doesn’t
follow fake, Allah keeps me under his shadow”.
Those who keep up the Sunna of the companion of Rasool
Allah and that personality “whose hand Allah calls
his hand”.
Allama Iqbal (RA) says “The hand of Momen becomes
hand of Allah”.
Peer sahib passes good news to them and says “Those
who have gone away from their sheikh they don’t know
anything about Allah. Without any Sheikh there is no Sufi
order the fool gets wasted in the jungles those who go without
one. The knowledge becomes a veil the nafs is weighing up
with greed Sultan Badur Shah those who have found their
sheikh they came as element and gone away by being everything”.
They say about themselves “Sultan Bahdur shah all
the sorrows have gone away when sheikh has awarded me knowledge
about myself. When I found my sheikh and with his one glance
my entire veils were removed and I was awarded with immersion
in Allah”.
They often unveiled the teaching of Hazrat Sultan Ul Arfeen
ra secrets such a word “Qedam” it has been used
many times
Mudd sharif is the Mudd of love who has drank the glass
of mercy he became familiar with the basic of Qedam”.
I could see the path of will of Allah. Well-done my sheikh
who has explained this secret.
Who ever you reward the vision that cures you make him
knowledgeable of Qedam.
Hazoor Sultan Ul Arfeen ra has used this word on many occasions
for example in Ain Un Faqr, Recognise your breath by Qedam
and Qedam by your breath. The question arises that what
is Qedam and what is that which is called Qedam? When Allah
Almighty wanted to be known first of all his illumine appeared
in form of his divine name Allah then from that noor, he
created the noor of Rasool Allah blessing and salutation
be upon him. Than Almighty created the souls of all the
thousands of universes from the noor of Rasool Allah blessing
and salutation be upon him. The souls witnessed the splendour
of his divine name Allah without any veil for four thousand
years. That location where Allah Almighty had spoken with
the souls and narrated that “Am I not you (rub) sustainer
and the souls replied “yes you are we are witness”.
The Sufi terms this location as Al ast. The level prior
to this sermon where the souls were visualising the divine
splendour for four thousand years, is termed by the mystics
as “Qedam”. That was the reason it was said
that “Recognise breath by Qedam and Qedam by breathe”.
That is to say that every breath is taken by visualising
muqam e Qedam and it should be apparent in your every breathe.
Peer sahib says in the honour of their visual sheikh Peer
Abdul Ghafoor Shah sahib ra, that who ever drank glass of
monotheism he becomes acquainted with secret of Qedam.
At another point they are referring to Sultan sahib ra,
whose heart your vision of elixir strikes he becomes mystic
of Qedam as to say that he visualises the lustre of Almighty.
In peer sahibs poetry they give every example from Quraan,
Hadith Qudsi or Hadith Nabvi and in one sentence as they
put ocean in a nutshell. “Shey tan’s eye could
only see the human body made of soil but the stupid fool
forgot that Allah blew his soul into it”.
Here Hazoor Peer sahib pointed towards Sura Al hijr verse
29. Actually they mentioned the incident when shai tan was
refuted, he was the teacher, lecturer at Sidra tul Muntha
and Imam of the angels at bait al Mamoor and he was very
close to Allah Almighty and have been on the highest positions
and such a angle got cursed and reprobated. If we look back
and we will find the command of Allah Almighty, When Almighty
addressed the angels that I am about to create my vicegerent
on earth and the angles covertly expressed their opposition
at Allah Almighty’s decision. They said that, they
will create anarchy and revolt on earth but Almighty defended
human being.
When the human body was created with four elements earth,
water, fire and air and then Allah Almighty ordered the
angels that “when I blow my soul into it, then all
of you have to prostrate” The soul was blown into
Adam (Blessing be upon him), order of prostration was applied
and all of the angles prostrated besides one and that was
the leader of the angels Aza ziel. Allah Almighty questioned
him that why didn’t he prostrated, he replied that
“I am better then him”. At this arrogant reply
Allah Almighty reprobated and cursed him. That was the will
of Allah Almighty and that was, what happened. But if we
look at merciful side for Shai tan, If he had said the Oh
Allah Almighty I have learned from his Almighty that prostration
to other then his Almighty is idolatry and if I prostrate
to this statue made of soil than I will be an idolater.
If he had said in such manner perhaps the doors of mercy
could have remained open for him and he would not have been
cursed. The fact that his answer was arrogant because of
his educational level that prevented him for following Almighty’s
order and he thought that he is made of fire and that he
is close to Almighty and human is made of clay poor fellow
is the result of four elements. His education got him cursed
and sadly his education could only allow him to see the
body that was made of earth and he was unable to remember
the actual order of Allah Almighty “When I blow my
soul into him” The thing to remember is that it was
not matter of soul but infect Allah Almighty placed in Adam
blessing be upon him his splendour that was shining like
sun inside Adam blessing be upon him chest.
Shah sahib further says that the knowledge is the mighty
veil and the shai tan saw the earthly human.
Hadith sharif of Rasool Allah blessing be upon him quotes
“Knowledge is the biggest veil” Iblis has been
let down by this knowledge.
Pointing to sura al kahf verse 24 in that it is said “Your
zikar should be such that you don’t feel that you
exist” and that is the highest form of remembrance
that is performed by the mystics of upper cader. You should
remember Allah Almighty in such manner that as if you become
unaware of your self. This level is known as, being one
with Allah and become immortal.(immerse in Allah Almighty’s
Divinity like drop immerses in the ocean). Almighty Allah
calls such people as “Mohsin” (benefactor) Yes
whose faith is better then the one who has lowered his face
for the sake of Allah Almighty and he is a benefactor. The
same question was put to Rasool Allah blessing and Salutation
be upon him by Angel Gabriel blessing be upon him. What
is Ihsan ya Rasool Allah blessing and salutation be upon
him? Rasool Allah blessing and salutation be upon him replied,
You should perform your pray as if you are watching Allah
Almighty if you can’t do that then consider that Almighty
is watching you.
Hazrat Sultan Sahib ra said , Until you don’t abandon
your parents, wife, children and rest of the family so that
they are aggrieved, only then you will be able to get to
the proximity of Allah Almighty. Point to think is that
it simply means that until a person dies he couldn’t
acquire closeness of Allah Almighty. The death is compulsory
but it isn’t the death that the angel of death takes
the soul away infect this is stated in the hadith sharif
“dieing before the death”. Hazrat Sultan sahib
says in their Punjabi poetry “those who have died
before the death have understood the secret of Allah Almighty.
Dieing before the death means that qulb livens up and the
nafs amara dies and the human being comes out of all of
the inner desires. Than at that point in time when a person
indulges in the remembrance of Allah (Ziker) he is unaware
of his surroundings and his inner visualises the illumination
of splendour and immerses in it.
Maulana Rome says, Where ever you are become of Allah Almighty
and keep yourself away from the worldly problems. That does
not mean that you leave the world but it actually means
that what ever you do. Do it as you are person of Allah
almighty “remember as if you don’t exist”
this form of zikar is performed by a faqeer of heist order
and he is the falcon of La maqan(mystic stage).That level
is where there is no name, no body, no you, no me, no meeting,
no separation, no lover and no beloved. Hazrat Sultan sahib
says, at such level one is the vision, and the spectator.
Hazrat Sultan sahib says in his Punjabi poetry; since I
have visualised the divinity I have become unaware of my
self. There is no closeness, meeting, Level, destination,
nor there is body or soul. There is no love and affection
nor there any universe. You view the secret of his divinity
ya Hazrat Bahu.
When you immerse in the splendour you become unaware of
yourself. Well done Peer Mohammed you have revealed this
secret that and I don’t have me left in myself, but
I have recognised the one who is inside me. This is an open
announcement that if you are looking for Almighty Allah’s
will and his pleasure there is no need to roam around caves,
mountains, deserts and bewilderedness. I have understood
the Order of Allah Almighty regarding “I am near to
you then your juggler vain”. Where this secret is
unveiled that, he is to be found inside you. Where ever
you see, you find him there. The attributes become darker
(because Allah Almighty’s divinity is there.
Allah Almighty says that, I am within your anfas (breathing)
I wish if you could visualise me. Anfs is an important point
that has been mentioned several time and it has been used
for breathings and if for an example it is interpreted that
I am within your breathing, then his Almighty is present
there.
Hazrat Sultan sahib says, “On every breath of a human
being there is a angel appointed on it. When a human being
takes a breath the angle takes it to Almighty, if that breath
is taken without remembrance of Allah Almighty and Almighty
views that breathe with anger and disgust and that breath
is returned inside a person, that brings about selfishness
and satanic tendencies within him and materialistic urges
become stronger. If that breathe is taken with his remembrance
then Allah Almighty showers his divine mercy and glances
at it with grace and that generates spirituality of merciful
within that human being and his physical body becomes the
mirror of illumination of Allah Almighty.
Rasool Allah blessing and salutation be upon him narrated
that, “breathes are accounted for and any breath taken
in ignorance of Allah Almighty is dead”. Hazoor Sultan
Sahib ra says, “we have been told by our Murshid that
the breath taken in ignorance is infidel”.
Allama Iqbal . The breathing of in and out is warming of
the blood is merely an excuse. Breathing in with Qalbi zikar
of Allah and breathing out with same Qalbi zikar the same
process goes on and on with each breath, illumines of Allah
Almighty’s perfumed blossom, the soul gets its fragrance.
Anfs is taken as nafs, such nafs has four status (1) Nafs
Amara (Inordinate appetites) (2) Nafs Lov ama (one’s
accusing self, conscience) (3) Nafs Mul hema (one’s
inspiring self, intellectual) (4) Nafs Mut maiena (contented,
one’s satisfied self).
Nafs Mut maiena is the heist level of the nafs where faqr
reaches its climax. At this point nafs’s materialistic
urges are eliminated and it is replaced by the Merciful.
Hazrat sultan sahib says, this nafs is our friend that
is coming along with us. After reformation or purification
of the nafs, it becomes the mirror of Allah Almighty’s
illumination. At that point in time when a person sees inside
himself he will find, “Those we were searching in
heavens and the earth we found them living in the darkness
of our Qalb”.
Human being consists of two bodies one is this physical
and the other is spiritual in the Holy Quraan Allah Almighty
states, He is the first he is the last he is apparent and
he is spiritual. It is evident that he is within your spirituality.
He is concealed within your soul. Almighty says that if
you are seeking me don’t look for me on my throne
(Arsh) Khana Kabba, knowledge, books or mehrab look at your
inner self. “Immerse within yourself and find the
purpose of life, if you cannot be mine don’t at least
be yourself.
Hazrat sultan sahib says, Almighty is near you, but you
are looking for him as if he is at distance you don’t
even enter his forecourt. You don’t know how to find
him inside but you have embarked on seeking him out side.
You will not find anything by going far away you will find
illumines inside yourself. Polish your heart ya Hazrat Bahu
than your veils will be removed. At another point they are
saying that. This inner of yours is the residence of the
true sustainer oh faqeer have a glance inside.
Alama Iqbal ra says, Glance inside yourself sometimes you
are Qaase you are Laila you are the camle sadle and you
are the desert.
The delay is from us we have to explore our inner and we
have to liven up his desires in it. His Almighty is openly
announcing that “you are sitting patiently your creator
is waiting for you”.
We are ready to shower our mercy but there isn’t
any seeker. To whom we could show the path to there isn’t
any seeker of the destiny. If some one is capable then we
will elevate him. We grant the seeker a new world.
That era was different when it was said “you cannot
see me” after the coming of Rasool Allah blessing
and salutation be upon him all the veils have been removed.
Alama Iqbal says “ concealed secrets have been revealed
the time has lapsed when it was said that “you cannot
see me”.
Unfortunately some people are unnecessarily denying the
spirituality and their reason is that Hazrat Mussa Blessing
be upon him was not able to visualise Almighty how could
we do so. There are two answers to that question. Firstly
Hazrat Moses blessing be upon him at one point prayed to
Allah Almighty to take his prophet hood away from him and
raise him from the Umma of Rasool Allah blessing and salutation
be upon him. This prayer is the clear argument that this
visualisation of Allah Almighty is the special gift for
Rasool Allah blessing and salutation be upon him and on
the night of Mehraj it was opened up for the Umma. Hazrat Shaikh
Abd ul Qadir Al Jilani (Allah bless his soul) quoted in the secret of the secrets,
“This trust belongs to an orphan and the divine law
does not permit anyone other then the trustee to acquire
it until he reaches the age where he grants it to others”.
The second answer is that “Allah Almighty commanded
to Hazrat Mussa blessing be upon him that “you cannot
see me” Allah Almighty has not mentioned that no one
can see me. Imam Ahmed Raza Brelavi said “the elevation
of Toor is not as La muqam, same as you cannot see me and
seeing me are different.
Peer sahib says “The residence of Sultan sahib is
the door to tranquillity or is it toor. Call out I would
like to see you my Rub and listen to the answer that, you
are privileged to do so.
This discussion is to do with the mystical knowledge and
when it is interfered with physical knowledge and it becomes
divisive.
Alama Iqbal says “For a Momen the limit is beyond
knowledge where he finds the desire of enthusiasm and pleasure
of visualisation.
Baba Bulay Shah ra says “You clean the forecourt
of your heart than you will see how the Almighty will seek
him out at home. The condition is that your heart must be
clean and it should be straight it should be clean from
any hurdles created by the knowledge or thoughts because
you cannot convince anyone with examples or proofs in unity
of Allah Almighty. Imam Fakher ul deen Razi ra was such
a learned person that his claim was that he could prove
the existence of Allah Almighty with examples. When he was
on the death bed and shai tan asked him three hundred questions
and then rejected them with his proofs. At that point if
another question was put to Imam Razi then he wouldn’t
have been able to answer it and would have departed from
this world without faith. If you are not certain about the
existence of unity of Allah Almighty then out goes your
faith. Imam Razi’s Sheikh was Najam ul Deen kubra
who was watching all of this spiritually and he splashed
some water over him and ordered him to answer the Shai tan
that you believe in Allah Almighty without any proof. It
is paramount to know that Shai tan is always after you.
Alama Iqbal ra says , Among you there isn’t anyone
who is in need of the Hoors. The splendour of Toor is present
but there is no Mussa Blessing be upon him.
Allah Almighty stated in the Quraan “I have created
Jinn and Humans solely for my worship. Hazrat Sheikh Abdul
Qader Jeelani ra explains this verse, that the one who cannot
recognise Almighty how could he pray to him. In Hadith Qudasi
Allah Almighty states that “I was a hidden treasure
and I wanted to be known so I created my creation so that
I could be recognised. The recognition couldn’t be
carried out without seeing and visualising Almighty.
Hadith Quoted “He who has recognised himself surly
has recognised his Rub. It is such that for the recognition,
self realisation is paramount “I am within your breathing
couldn’t you perceive” (Quraan). When you have
glanced inside your self then this verse from the holy Quraan
applies “which ever direction you turn to you will
find him there”. When human being is able to visualise
Allah Almighty’s splendour within himself and then
a person immerses in him. Hazrat Sultan Bahu (Allah bless his soul) states:
When Ism Allah Zat reacts in the body of a person then that
person gets the colour of Marifat. The distance shrink from
him and he reaches his desires and then he is able to view
Allah Almighty by glansing at his heart and his inner, where
he is able to see Ism Allah zat on each hair on his body
every vain, limb, bone in his body embark upon the remembrance
of Allah and that person is able to see Ism Zat on every
thing including on the leaves of trees. He could see the
display of Allah Almighty’s splendour what ever he
sees, listens or speaks he hears the sound of Ism Allah.
This is the stage when the seeker has Ism Allah zat immerses
in his outer and inner. How much you would like this argument
on your qalb it is like ocean.
Peer Sahib often mention their Sheikh by Peer Mohammed
in their poetry, this is because this information is authentic
and passed on by person to person secretly, that Peer Abdul
Ghafoor Shah sahib is called as Peer Mohammed in the holy
Court of Rasool Allah blessing and salutationbe upon him.
Peer sahib often used this spiritual name for their Sheikh.
Shah sahib have been introducing and educating the seeker
the respect of the sheikh.
Shah sahib relocated to a place called Fareed Mahmood Kathiah
and took up residence there. It was rural and remote area,
people lived in mud huts and had their huts were far apart.
Their livelihood was their farming, which was relying on
rainy water and herds of animals. The locals were totally
illiterate and were unaware of religious knowledge or Marfia
(knowledge of Allah Almighty). Shah sahib enlightened the
locals with religious knowledge and invited them to true
knowledge and love of Rasool Allah (blessing and salutation
be on him) and they had a Mosque built there and begin educating
people and bought them out to true Islamic faith that had
true love of Allah Almighty and his prophet blessing and
salutation be on him. Shah sahib had devoted his life for
serving and propagating Islam and teachings of Sultan sahib.
Their style of conversation was so sweet and attractive
that every one was compelled to pay attention. Their personality
was impressive and it was further illuminated with spiritual
influence. Due to such effects there were always a big gathering
around them.
They rewrote Sultan sahib's books along with other material
by hand and once they were exhausted and didn't perform
the Isha's Sunnah and went to sleep. At night Sultan sahib
came and woke him up and said:
"I had to hear a complaint about you from the holy
court of Rasool Allah (Blessing and salutation be on him)
they told me that your devoted seeker Sayed Mohammed Badur
Ali Shah hadn't perform my sunnah and they further said
that he didn't took care of his chicken, go and take care
of it, a jackal is approaching"
Shah sahib travelled various parts of Punjab province along
with devotees and disciples in order to invite people towards
love and Marifat (recognition) of Allah Almighty and his
beloved prophet (blessing and salutation on him) and illuminating
peoples hearts generously.
They visited Sayed Mahammed Abdullah Shah (Allah bless his soul) sahibs shrine
which is located in Ahmed poor Sharkia in District Bahawal
poor and went to Auchali sharif in wadi soon skaser and
stayed at Haq Bahu old bungalow.
In Sarwari Qadri order miracles are given the status of
menstrual course or puerperal haemorrhage and due to that
occurrence of miracles is minimal. In fact occurrence of
miracle often revealed through friends of Allah Almighty
without their personal desire or inner urges or self projection
but their occurrence is with will of Allah Almighty.
